I am a New York-based playwright and musical theater composer from Hong Kong.
As a playwright, I dedicate my theatrical writing to exploring the realm of myth, religion, and any genre that traces back to the beginning of humanity, where we learn from our history and seek a way forward through storytelling.
As a composer, I collaborate frequently with the brilliant wordsmith Erin J. Reifler. Together we were the finalists of Dramatist Guild fellowship, and were chosen as the Merit Award Winners for New Musical Inc. in collaboration with Disney Imagineering's New Voices Project. Our work includes 'A Pain in the Neck,' an ensemble musical about Josie, a terminally-ill journalist checking off her bucket list; 'Central Park Benches,' a song cycle in which we challenged ourselves to complete one song per week based on the inscriptions on the benches; and many more.
